Professor Sidney Moon

When Sidney Moon and Kathy Chambery had problems getting the right look for the Block II WebCT site, Dr. Moon contacted P3T3 and asked for help. Her personal P3T3 liaison met with the graduate assistant assigned to the task of programming the site, consulted with Dr. Moon, and together they delegated the project to a graphic artist with the ability to take the "canned" look of WebCT and create graphics specifically tailored to Block II students. The screen capture on this page is a sampling of the graphics that were constructed to meet the needs of the course.

The look of the materials adds to the student's interest in the pages, resulting in increased motivation. One of the goals of P3T3 is to teach pre-service teachers the advantages and applications of technical skills in education. The graphics incorporated in this site made an impact on many faculty members and the approximately 800 pre-service teachers who take Block II each year. A little technical ingenuity helped meet the P3T3 objectives.
